If You Want To REALLY KNOW Someone's Goals, Watch Where They Spend Their Time and Money.

We often think that the best way to get to know someone is to ask them questions and listen to their answers. However, if you genuinely want to understand who someone is and their goals, asking for and tracking their time and money is the best way to do it. Why? Time is our most valuable asset, AND cash is what most people think is their most valuable asset. Thus, if you track these two things, you can track what people feel is essential to them vs. what they tell you is vital.

When it comes to time, consider how someone spends their days. For example, if someone tells you they want to lose weight, how much time do they spend reading about nutrition, meal prepping, and going to the gym? Vs. How much time did they spend at work, Binging on their steaming services and Pornhub? The time spent on each activity REALLY shows us something about the person's goals and values.

When it comes to money, consider how someone spends their money. Are they frugal and cautious, or do they enjoy splurging on luxuries? Do they donate to charity or give to causes they believe in? Do they save money for investments or travel?

Similar to time, how someone spends their money reveals something about their goals and values. For example, someone who is frugal may be driven by a desire for financial security or a need to save for a particular plan. On the other hand, someone who spends money on luxuries may be driven by the need for external validation or a sense of pleasure.

In summary, if you want to get to know someone and understand their goals, tracking their time and money is the best way to do it. By observing how they spend their days and money, you can gain insight into what drives them and their values. So keep it in mind the next time you want to understand someone deeper.

And the "someone" I am referring to is the self. So get to know YOU better vs. the person you think YOU are.
